Confimprese confirms tourism growth in Sicily, Schifani says, "A reward for the region."

"The data released by Confimprese Sicilia and Federalberghi confirm the positive trend for tourism on our island: a 2.4% increase in foreign arrivals compared to 2024, and Sicily among the most popular destinations for Italians. This is a strong signal, which acknowledges the beauty of our region, but also my government's commitment to making tourism increasingly modern, welcoming, and competitive," said Renato Schifani, President of the Sicilian Region.

"With this in mind," he continues, "the €135 million call for proposals we launched to improve the quality of accommodation facilities and support businesses in the sector fits in. This is a concrete initiative to raise standards, attract tourists from new international markets, and ensure stable and sustainable growth. Sicily has the potential to strengthen its role in global tourism. We will continue to work with vision, focusing on quality, innovation, and targeted promotion."
